RANT™ Reports Support Client Assignment and Management RANT™ reports were specifically designed to support judges and other court personnel in their day-to-day decision making - as well as program managers frequently called upon to report trends and justify budget requests. Two types of reports are available. Client reports: Programmed scoring algorithms convert the results of each RANT administration into an individualized client report that assigns the offender to one of the four risk/needs quadrants and provides a brief explanation of the specific item responses that contributed to the assignment. Importantly, the reports are not diagnostic and do not suggest a specific placement (e.g., to a drug court, supervised probation, etc.), but rather, indicate a level of supervision and clinical support that is associated with the best outcomes based on the offender’s risk and needs profile. The intent of these reports is to provide useful, empirically-based guidance in determining the optimal dispositions and placements for drug-involved offenders. Management reports: Utilizing the same risk/needs quadrant approach, these aggregate reports help program managers better characterize and understand the offender population they are dealing with. The reports can summarize the population by gender, ethnicity, age, or by any number of variables depending on the package chosen at purchasing. |
